Introducing Our Signature Collection for Spring/Summer 2018
We are thrilled to introduce to you our spring summer 2018 signature collection,
It is our pleasure to bring the new collection to you, to inspire you for the forthcoming racing and wedding season, all pieces are currently available to purchase, or we will design with you and your own take on this collection to create your own headpiece.
Be inspired, we can’t wait to work with you!
We have pieces from the classic to the Avant garde. I have tried to curate a varied collection all with the classic elegance that we are known for with those twists of modernity and fun. All of our pieces should be seen as accessible and as an extension of you, choose the pieces that you feel most alive in, the pieces that make you smile!
We had a great team for the photoshoot, with Emma Jane Lewis as photographer @ejlewis, our favourite model Grace @gracegraymodel modelling and make up and @lovehairbylou on the hair. I also had Ellie as my assistant for the day @emerald_beauty236
Nothing says Cheltenham for an early spring racing festival quite like this cute wool tweed beret with vine of roses and leaves, a touch of leather and velvet for depth, this piece has also inspired many others in this collection.
You’ve Been Framed
Drawing from the rose gold trends this classic yet standout piece has a hint of vintage glamour and Edwardian charm. The eucalyptus, Swarovski crystals and the emerging photo frame add the modern twist.
Blue & Copper Saucer
One of my favourite blends of tones, duck egg with copper, self-textured with sinamay flowers on the upper and underside their piece is a statement from all angles but with softness in tone.
I wanted to create a headpiece using just paradisal straw, I wanted it to have a naturalness to the shape but still with structure. the hand blocked pleats at the front blending to a fan at the back mixes the rigid with the gentleness of the unfinished edge.
This fantastic deep orange makes such a statement, the depth of the colours in the roses add a naturalness to the vine, ever classic and elegant, although small, this hat does all the talking!
A darker feel and more subdued, the classic elegance of the veil and the floating petals create a totally timeless addition to any wardrobe.
Following the vine theme, the natural pink roses again the market green and taupe veiling adds to the gentle English rose, perfect for a garden party or and English marquee wedding.
From the success of our feather explosion headpieces last year, this year we wanted to move the design forwards, we lost the hard structures shoestring the headpiece front he feathers and merged them together with so many swirls mixed between a firework of kingfisher toned feathers
Simple, elegant and metallic! 2 of this years biggest trends are copper and metallic so here they are together, a classic headpiece of timeless elegance more than a feathered fascination less than a hat, but always super stylish!
The sweep of cream silks across a soft bias brim sweeping to the underside makes a racecourse for Swarovski encrusted horses! The perfect hat for the racetrack this summer, simple British elegance with that twist of quirkiness and who doesn’t like that much sparkle!
Another ready for Cheltenham or a festival farm wedding! Pheasant feathers, leather, tweed, velvet and curled ostrich quills makes for a dramatic statement whilst staying light and easy to wear!
We love a trilby especially trilby perchers! it’s features a dramatic windmill of gull shaped felt as drama and depth to this Cheltenham piece. At 2/3 size it’s a quirky piece to add to any hat collection.
I always seem to struggle working with red, my challenge was to make a beautiful classic and elegant piece in bright red, I think I nailed it! One of my personal favourites of the whole collection!
Who doesn’t like flowers especially when they are giant! This huge sinamay flower has interest at every angle, the printed sinamay adds extra depth, the piece finished with a gold line delicately applied to each edge.
Bias Brim Saucer
Who underneath that hat, classic elegance will make people stop and stare, peak out through the open weave brim, you will never loose your cool in this one!
AstroTurf, leather and Swarovski crystals! Of course, that was the inspiration behind this fabulously fun headpiece! I can’t wait to see who buys this one!!
Hand rolled and hand dyed sinamay come together to create this statement flame headpiece, not one for the feint hearted, finished with Swarovski crystals!
Strong and striking, using block colour and crinoline curls to create this dramatic headpiece the softness of the wave shape allows the curls to dance softly from the base.
A replica of my own Ascot hat from last year, this headpiece got so much attention I had to get it professionally photographed and doesn’t it look great! This hat I think sums me up perfectly! I love it! How I’m going to beat it with this year’s creation for myself I just don’t know!
Who doesn’t like sunflowers! This sunflower interpretation is perfect on this simple base finished with a quill and Swarovski crystals, it just shouts sunshine!
Returning to the rose gold and metallic trends, this complex and clean headpiece lets the sequins and shape do all the talking. The fine crinoline edge ads a softened to the strong rigid shaping.
